Everyone who uses technology from this century, obviously.
It's a good thing they will be working on common prototype rules for both the WEC and the TUSC for the 2017. Maybe than high tech racing will finally come to America.

Group C cars were nice in the Group C era, but the racing world made huge progresses since then. Today's P1 cars would chew them up and spit them out, being relevant for the needs of today's car industry, in the same time.

Because GM doesn't make V8's so they're irrelevant? Nice to know. It's this kind of bullshit that makes the divides in sports car racing what it is.

It's not about the number of cylinders of the engine. It's about the technology, it's not advanced enough. You can't claim you're on the cutting edge of motorsports, when you use engine and chassis technology that was cutting edge more than 30 years ago.
There's nothing to be divided about. Old technology and old concepts will not be relevant for today or tomorrow, no matter how attached to it, you may be.

The divide is largely the exALMS and now WEC crowd saying IMSA sucks because DP's run in it instead of the beloved P1 car. You know the class that had 2 cars and usually only 1 would finish. Daytona Prototypes are fast and reliable and a hell of a lot cheaper to run than a LMP car. Doesn't have to be cutting edge technology all the time. That doesn't always create the best racing. But what do I know, I watch NASCAR and like cars that are 30 year old technology the works. Guess I shouldn't have any say in this.
